Wednesday 30th January 2008 - The results are in...
Last week I discovered a LJ community called [info]tudoricontest  and decided to take the plunge and enter my first icon contest. After all, it was about one of my favourites, Anne Boleyn.  Well, the voting closed last night and I anxiously awaited the verdict and....I won 'Best Text'.  Which great as I love fonts.  Fonts are my friends.  I have an insanely amount on my laptop and can never resist the urge to pick up new ones during my internet travels.  Dingbats too!

Here is my banner!

Thursday 24th January 2008 - New layout

On & off the past few days I've been reading a couple of tutorials and found the base stylesheet for the S2 style Smooth Sailing and kept fiddling around with the css until I got it looking right.   I think the most difficult part was deciding which of my fandoms to use as a header.  As you can see I ended up going with my first and original fandom, Elvis.

Those 2 pics that I've used in the header are from my collection of many Elvis pics.  I have many favourites but these 2 have always made me go all giggly.  That sexy little grin...

Random little bit of info about me:  I have 4 tattoos.  3 of them are Elvis themed.  That's how much I'm a fan. LOL.

The kids go back to school next Tuesday (about time!) and I'm planning on making the most of the quiet days by being very productive and designing lots of jewellery pieces and also on a working on web layouts (to eventually go into my portfolio).  And I'm sure I'll fit a bit of fangirly things in here & there cause life is boring without a bit of fun.

Tuesday 15th January 2008 - Frustration frustration frustration!
Bare with me...I need to vent before I explode! I've been working on changing my jewellery business website over from Wordpress to Zen Cart. The computer geek in me was up for a challenge to learn something new. And as usual, I take on more than I should. I mean, I really should learn that school holidays is NOT the best time to try to spend all day learning & tweaking coding.

More venting under here... )
