Bio

My name is Jules. I'm a 38 y.o. Married with 5 kids - aged from 6 to 17 years. I live in Sydney Australia.

I spend time online to escape life's little stresses and also to make new friends with similiar interests as myself.

Some random info about me:

I love my laptop & would be lost without it. I am a computer geek.

I love teaching myself new things on the computer. Livejournal layouts are my new thing.

I love to make graphics with Paint Shop Pro.

I write fan fictions, but only share them with close friends.

I love making screencaps.

If I don't do something creative each day I go crazy.

I love anything to do with the Tudor/Elizabethan period of history.

I read lots of Tudor/Elizabethan themed fiction & non-fiction books.

I have a big thing for celtic knotwork, celtic music, Ireland & Scotland.

I would love to be able to go back to London again.

I love the colour purple. And black. Most of my wardrobe consists of these colours. I even have purple converses.

I have a thing for guys in kilts. Particularly 2hotscots by the names of Hamish Clark & Ewan McGregor.

I daydream far too much. It's my way of coping with life.

Anyone who truly knows me will tell you that I'm a fangirl. I have been since I first discovered Elvis Presley when I was 7 years old.

Moving onto teenaged-years my bedroom walls were always plastered with posters of my favourite bands (Pseudo Echo was no1) and many hours were spent on scrapbooks.
Fast-forward to my 20s, my love of Elvis was still with me. In 1995 I got 3 Elvis tattoos and made the trip from Sydney to Memphis.

Then in 2002 I discovered the BBC TV series 'Monarch of the Glen'. The moment I laid my eyes on that cute kilted Scotsman, Hamish Clark (Duncan) I was hooked. Then in 2005 I started a fansite on him. It's still going strong today. Last July, Hamish contacted me to tell me how much he loves the fansite & appreciates all of the work that I've put into it. In September 2007 whilst I was on holiday in London (I went to Scotland too) I was lucky
enough to spend the day with Hamish. It was amazing! A fangirl's dream come true!

- Elvis pictures are from screencaps that I made from 'Elvis: That's the way it is' and 'Elvis: 1968 Comeback Special'. I changed them to b+w to match my layout's colour.

- Fonts used: The name Elvis in layout's header pic is 'Freebooter Script'. The font used in my profile titles is 'Joyful Juliana'.
